DupeOne is built to be useful with as little personal data as possible. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
What we collect
We collect basic, privacy-respecting usage data so we can improve the product: the searches people run, which pages are viewed, and which outbound merchant links are clicked. Search queries are logged so we can prioritise the fragrances people are looking for.
How we handle identifiers
Where we need to count unique sessions or limit abuse, technical identifiers such as IP address and user agent are hashed before storage rather than kept in raw form. We aim to avoid storing raw, directly identifying information.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies — for example, to remember a voting session — and privacy-friendly analytics. We do not sell personal data.
Merchant links
When you follow an outbound link to a retailer, that retailer’s own privacy practices apply on their site. We only record that a click happened, not your purchase details.
